Optical System
High light throughput Single Beam and True Double Beam. The SP-AA 5000 is a fully automated computer controlled Flame and Graphite Furnace AAS instrument featuring an 8-lamp turret, automatic gas box and automatic burner height setting, graphite furnace, autosampler for flame, furnace and Hydride System and cooling system. The furnace power is integrated in the instrument.

Monochromator Czerny-Turner- type with 2 focal lengths at 355.8 and 345.6 mm, automated wavelength selection and slit selection. The system provides a true double beam mode.

Flame System
Burner-Nebulizer System All-titanium 100 mm and 50 mm burners are available for air / acetylene gases and for acetylene / nitrous oxide flame. Adjustable nebulizer with internal Platinum / Iridium capillary, PEEK Nozzle and fixed ceramic impact bead are supplied as standard. SP-AA 4000 features automated setting of burner height for each elements.
Spray Chamber The PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) spray chamber is used for both aqueous and organic solution
Gas Controls Software controlled gas box allows the automatic setting of gas flows for each element.Acetylene flow is automatically adjusted prior to the oxidant change when switching to or from nitrous oxide-acetylene operation.
Safety Function Interlocked safety system prevents selection of the nitrous oxide flame if the nitrous oxide burner is not fitted. Sensor controls for protection to use the incorrect burner head and check the siphon system. In case of pressure failure of fuel or oxidant gas, or power failure, safety interlocks will shut down the gases automatically in the right order.
DESCRIPTION
Hydride System The Hydride system is a continuous flow technique for the determination of As, Se, Sb, Sn, Te, Bi, and Hg at low microgram per liter (ppb) concentrations with electrothermal heating unit to heat the quartz cell. The Hg will be determined with cold vapour technique. The system has the gas flow control including two peristaltic pumps for supply the reagent, acid and samples solution.
Scrapper Automatic cleaner for 50mm burner
Autosampler for Flame There is a corrosion resistant 85-samples position tray. Integral peristaltic pump with speed control provides on-demand rinsing of the probe, eliminating carryover.

Gas Flow Choice of two inert gases with computer controlled flows. Separate control of inert gas stream is argon for internal and external gas flows. An external protective gas stream around the graphite tube prevents the entrance of ouside air to maximize tube life. The external gas flow is 1 L/in and internal gas flow in the graphite tube is 0 mL/min (gas stop) 100 mL/min (low flow) 200 mL/min (medium flow) 300 mL/min (maximum flow)
Cooling system A closed circuit cooling system is optimized to save time, water and provides stable furnace condition. Water temperature during operation is approx. 38 ºC
Autosampler for Graphite Furnace Injection volumes from 1-50 µL in increments of 1 µL are user selectable. Automatic dilutions and additions of three different modifiers are available. Corrosion resistant sample tray holds 87 positions. The system provides automatic calibration up to 20 points from one or two stock standard solutions and dilution by volume reduction or intelligent dilution, which is fully automatic by software controlled.
Safety Functions Safety interlocks will shut down the furnace if the cooling water fails, the gas flow is too low, the furnace temperature is too high or the graphite tube breaks
